SourceToys (“SourceToys”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the B2B sourcing directory at sourcetoys.com (the “Site”), which connects buyers with verified toy suppliers in China. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site or submitting an inquiry, you agree to this Policy.
SourceToys is an independently operated website. For any question about this Policy or your information, contact us at [email protected].
1. Information we collect
Information you provide. When you submit an inquiry, a quote request, or a contact form, we collect the details you enter — typically your name, business email, company name, country, the products or categories you are interested in, and your message. You are not required to create an account to use the Site.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we automatically receive standard technical data when you visit — IP address, browser type, device and operating system, pages viewed, and referring pages — through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6).
We do not ask for or intentionally collect payment card numbers, bank details, or sensitive personal categories (such as health or biometric data). Please do not include such information in inquiry messages.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Route your inquiries. When you send an inquiry or quote request, we share the relevant details with the supplier(s) you selected so they can respond to you directly. This is the core purpose of the Site.
- Respond to contact-form messages and support requests.
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and its search and listing features.
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or technical issues.
- Comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use inquiry contents for advertising.
3. How we share information
- With suppliers you contact. Submitting an inquiry necessarily discloses your inquiry details to the supplier(s) you selected. Once shared, the supplier handles your information under its own practices, over which SourceToys has no control.
- With service providers. We use third parties for hosting, content delivery, email delivery, and analytics. They may process data on our behalf and are permitted to use it only to provide those services.
- For legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of SourceToys, our users, or the public.
- In a business transfer. If SourceToys is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Where your information is processed
SourceToys serves buyers and suppliers internationally. The suppliers listed on the Site are located in China, and our service providers may be located in other countries. By submitting an inquiry, you understand that your information will be transferred to, and processed in, countries that may have data-protection laws different from those in your country.
5. Data retention
We keep inquiry and contact records for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes described above, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements, after which we delete or anonymise them. You may request deletion earlier (see Section 7).
6. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies needed for the Site to function, and analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage and improve the Site. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may affect how the Site works. Where required by law, we request consent for non-essential cookies through a banner.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, to object to certain processing, or to receive a copy of it. To exercise any of these, email [email protected] and we will respond as required by applicable law. You may also unsubscribe from any non-essential email we send using the link in that email.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing are: performance of the service you request (routing inquiries), our legitimate interests (operating and improving the Site), your consent (non-essential cookies), and compliance with legal obligations.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
The Site is a business-to-business service intended for use by businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Third-party sites
The Site links to supplier pages and other third-party websites. This Policy does not apply to those sites, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the revised Policy.
